I’ve got an open-ish area with good shade cloth but it gets windy. Are tonogodhime stacks prone to tipping?
Trying to decide between that and a lean-to.
The 2×2 alternating layers distribute weight better than a lean-to. Lean-tos have that “domino” problem if
the support shifts. Tonogodhime is squat and spreads weight on all four corners.
If your spot is truly exposed, just keep the stack lower and make sure the base logs are on something that
doesn’t slide (bare soil beats slick pallets). Mine have handled gusts fine.
