Quick warning from someone who tried to be clever. Tonogodhime is the alternating 2×2 log-cabin stack on the
ground, no supports. I built mine way too tall trying to “save space,” and it backfired.
The tall stack got wobbly after a few rains (base rolled a bit) and the middle layers compressed enough that the airflow wasn’t as nice as it should be. Harvest was also annoying because I was reaching and bumping logs.
Shorter stacks have been better in every way for me.
